She is famous for her performance as Willie Scott, an American nightclub singer and performer in Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984), directed by eventual husband Steven Spielberg. Starring in Dreamscape (1984), Power (86), SpaceCamp (1986) as well as The Black Rain(89), Love Affair, Love Affair (1994), Just Cause (1895), and The Love Letter (1999) In the years since, she has continued be a star. Capshaw is a portrait artist who has been displayed at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery Capshaw was born Kathleen Sue Nail in Fort Worth Texas. She is the daughter of Beverley Sue Simon (nee Simon), an agent for beauty and travel along with Edwin Leon Nail, an employee at the airline. Capshaw was five years old when she moved to St. Louis, Missouri. She graduated from Hazelwood Senior High School. Capshaw graduated from the University of Missouri with a qualification as an educator. Additionally, she was a part of Alpha Delta Pi. She was a special education instructor at Southern Boone High School Ashland, Missouri and Rock Bridge High School Columbia, Missouri.
