Taylor

Taylor Swift is that rarest of pop phenomenons A superstar who managed to completely cross over from country to the mainstream making her an iconic pop culture icon and conquering the globe in the process. Swift removed herself from country music as if she was a second skin, and revealed that she had the best pop sensibility in her time. Swift was the only musician/singer to take the popular zeitgeist when she went on tour. The skills she displayed are evident in some of her earliest tracks, notably the Neodue Tim McGraw. But on her second album Fearless which came out in 2008, Swift discovered who she is and find an audience that was large. Fearless was a huge success not only in the United States, where six of its singles were certified platinum in the wake of Top Ten hit songs Love Story and You Belong with Me. But it also performed well around all over the world. Swift's second album Speak Now, released nearly two years following the debut, further consolidated the success of this album. It helped propel Swift into the spotlight. The next three albums she released, Red (2012) 1989 (2004) and Reputation (2017) and Reputation, the popularity of Swift grew, and she found herself in the world of pop music in which it became clear she was a part of. However, even when she reduced her approach with 2020's stripped-down siblings' folklore and Evermore she continued to be atop of the pop world a position she maintained with re-recordings of her back catalog along with Midnights her chart-topping synth-heavy 2022 collection.
